Membership & Recruitment
The membership committee shall annually seek to increase association membership and provide a status report on membership at each executive meeting. They will also ensure that the membership list is current and accurate.
Fundraising
This committee main goals are raising funds to insure the financial viability and stability of the organization. This committee also plans specific fundraising events and activities.
Professional Development
This committee advises staff in the selection for webinars and other specific events. Gives professionals the opportunity to learn and apply new knowledge and skills that can help them in their job and further their career.
Public Policy & Legislation
This committee makes members aware of current legislative initiatives and proposed legislation that would have an impact on the role of School Counsellors in the state of The Bahamas.
Publicity - Public Relations Outreach
This committee seeks outreach opportunities to increase association visibility in the community, membership and encourage networking with other associations and institutions.
Biennial Conference
This committee plans and conducts a national professional development conference, every two years, within the allocated budget and provide a status report at each executive meeting on progress of the conference. The Awards and Recognitions committee shall operate as a subcommittee of the conference committee
Bylaws & Ethics
Bylaws and ethics shall be the primary reviewer, in conjunction with the executive board to submit any proposed revisions to the bylaws.
Post-Secondary
This committee advises the executive board on issues from the post-secondary arena of school counselling and is also responsible for approving corporate partnership requests and assisting partners in planning career and college activities that cater to the needs of students, families, and the community.
